First time paying? You have 30 days to change your mind, no questions asked.
If you purchase a paid Production Ledger subscription and decide within 30 days of your first payment that it's not right for you, we will refund the full amount. No fine print. No "what did we do wrong?" interrogation. One email and you're done.
The 30-day clock starts on the date of your first paid charge for a given plan. The guarantee applies to your initial purchase only — see Exceptions below for renewals.
02What's eligible for a refund
- The Founding Member annual plan ($99/year), within 30 days of first purchase
- The Pro monthly plan, within 30 days of first purchase
- The Pro annual plan, within 30 days of first purchase
- Any duplicate or accidental charge (regardless of timing — see Exceptions)
03What's not eligible
- Refund requests made more than 30 days after your first payment
- Renewal payments after the initial 30-day window — auto-renewals are non-refundable; cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged
- Partial-period or pro-rata refunds for time used (we do not pro-rate)
- Subscriptions canceled mid-period (you keep access until the end; no refund)
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
- Add-ons, custom services, or one-time purchases sold separately (unless explicitly stated at purchase)
- Third-party fees (e.g., bank, currency-conversion, or interchange fees charged by your payment provider)
04How to request a refund
Send an email to support@productionledger.com with:
- Subject line: "Refund request"
- The email address on your Production Ledger account
- Your order number or receipt date (from your Stripe receipt email)
That's it. You don't need to give a reason. You're welcome to share what didn't work for you — we read every reply and it helps us improve — but it's never a condition for the refund.
We'll confirm receipt within 2 business days and process eligible refunds promptly.
05Processing time and method
Approved refunds are issued by Stripe, our payment processor, back to the original payment method used at purchase. We cannot refund to a different card, account, or method.
Once we initiate the refund:
- Stripe typically processes it within 5–10 business days
- The refund will appear on your statement based on your bank or card issuer's posting timeline (often 2–5 additional business days)
- For international cards or non-USD payments, exchange-rate differences may result in a slightly different amount being credited; we refund the original USD amount we received
If you don't see the refund within 15 business days of our confirmation, email us and we'll trace it.
06Canceling without a refund
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time without requesting a refund. Cancellation:
- Stops future renewals
- Lets you keep access to all paid features through the end of your current billing period
- Does not refund the current period
To cancel, use the cancellation option in your account settings or email support@productionledger.com.
07Exceptions and special cases
Duplicate charges
If you've been charged twice for the same plan due to a billing error, contact us at any time and we will refund the duplicate charge in full, regardless of the 30-day window.
Service outages
If the Services are unavailable for an extended period due to our error, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund or service credit. Contact us if you've been materially affected by an outage.
Renewal grace period
If your annual plan auto-renewed and you contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge before you've actively used the Services in that new term, we will, at our reasonable discretion, refund the renewal as a goodwill exception. To avoid renewals altogether, cancel auto-renewal before the renewal date.
EU/UK consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer (not a business) located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from your purchase under applicable consumer protection laws. To exercise this right, email us within 14 days of your purchase. By starting to use the Services within the 14-day window you acknowledge that performance has begun and you may lose your right of withdrawal once the service is fully provided. Our 30-day money-back guarantee is more generous and applies in all cases.
08Chargebacks
Please email us first at support@productionledger.com before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. We can almost always resolve issues directly and quickly.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:
- Suspension or termination of your account while the dispute is investigated
- Loss of access to invoices and data stored under your account
- Inability to use the Services in the future
If we determine a chargeback was filed in bad faith or in violation of our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to recover associated costs.
09Statutory rights
This Refund Policy is in addition to, and does not affect, any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where local law requires us to provide refund or cancellation rights beyond what this policy describes, those rights apply.
